ASHA NAIR
This is the second in a series of articles on my friends. Ms. Asha Nair has been a very close friend since 1989/90. We were classmates in the second and third grades and then for a period of three years in middle school (i.e. between the sixth grade in 1993/94 and the eighth grade in 1995/96) at Indian School Muscat, Oman.
She was one of the first friends I ever made at school, and we are almost in our twentieth year of friendship. She may have grown in terms of years since then, but she has not changed one bit.
Asha is a bubbly, soft-spoken young lady. Her honesty, reserved nature and positive attitude are the first three things you will notice about her.
Her smile is her best feature. When she flashes that lovely smile of hers, a person can feel completely at ease. It also enhances her charming personality.
A small but close-knit group of friends constitutes Asha's world. She takes time to make new friends, but when she does, they remain friends forever.
She is intelligent, modest, down-to-earth and extremely confident. She has remarkable clarity of thought.
A Virgo, she was born on the first day of September. She possesses all the characteristics of a typical Virgo, as she is shy, meticulous, reliable, practical, diligent and analytical. She strives to achieve perfection in everything she does and is pretty conservative by nature.
She has always been academically bright. She has obtained her masters' degree in science (MS) with a specialisation in embedded system from the prestigious Heriot Watt University, which is situated in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Now a busy software engineer by profession, Asha works for Hewlett Packard (HP) in India's information technology capital (Bangalore).
Asha and I have been friends for almost two decades and I hope we continue to be friends for life. Here's wishing her all the very best of luck for all her future endeavours.
